Beauty buy: I’m insanely diligent with my sunscreen. I love to use Colorscience Powder Sunscreen, which is my favorite because I hate having an oily face. And I love MAC’s Cream Colour Base blush in Vintage Rose because you can use it on your cheeks and lips, and it’s water-resistant.

Hair product: Leave-in conditioner. If you’re going swimming in a chlorine pool, it’s best to get your hair wet before going in and apply conditioner. Your hair is like a sponge so if you go straight into pool water it will suck it all up, but if you put pure water plus conditioner on beforehand, it will get much less chlorine in your hair.

Warm-weather hairstyle: Dutch pigtails. It’s a quick way to have a cute hairstyle at the beach—it keeps the hair out of your face and keeps it from tangling when it’s windy or if you go swimming. I love to incorporate a few wefts of my Barefoot Blonde Hair Extensions to thicken and lengthen the braids. And, once you take the braids out, your hair will have a natural beachy wave.

Want to pamper yourself at home? While you might not be able to partake in a typical day at a traditional spa—you can still rejuvenate and refresh from the comfort of your home!

From hair masks to scrubs and eye gels galore, here are all the fixings—including an itinerary—to have the perfect spa day at home!

At-Home Spa Day Itinerary

1. Light a candle, start a relaxing music playlist, and put some essential oils in a diffuser. Drink a tall glass of cucumber water or fresh juice. Set aside a luxe robe or some comfy loungewear. Prep all items for a shower: body scrubhair mask, etc.

2. In the shower, prep your skin with a full scrub, shave after (if you do), then wash your hair and apply a conditioning hair mask.

3. Next, leave on your hair mask and put on a shower cap, then rinse out the shower and prep for a nice tub soak. While the tub is filling, wash your face, then use a facial scrub, then apply a face mask.

4. Soak in the tub with your face and hair mask on.

(The BEST part of the day in my opinion!)

5. After soaking, drain the tub and do a final rinse in the shower. Be sure to rinse off your hair and face masks. If you want to do a foot peel, this is your opportune time to pop on a set of peel socks (wear time is 1hr).

6. Next, drench your body in a luxurious body oil or lotion and put on your cozy robe or loungewear.

7. Apply a leave-in conditioner, brush out your locks, and pull your hair out of your face with a spa headband.

8. To finish off your facial, use a Microderm tool (if you have), then apply a serum with a jade roller. Apply a rich moisturizer and apply under eye gels (leave on for 10 min.+).

9. While you wait for your foot peel and eye gels to finish, relax in bed or on the couch with meditation or some relaxing music. You can rub in the eye gel, but you’ll need to rinse your feet off after removing the peel.

10. You can give yourself a mani/pedi at this point or give yourself a pat on the back for a successful #selflove day!

Back in January they changed out the plastic containers these iconic bars came in and switched it to 0% plastic parchment paper and post-consumer waste! I appreciate brands who are starting to make a conscious decision to help the environment! Put it on your Beauty List TBW Followers !!!!

WHY YOU SHOULD ( & SHOULDN’T WEAR MAKE UP)

Relationships are colorful, to say the least.

They can be messy or tidy, dysfunctional or thriving, turbulent or consistent. The one relationship that should never fail, however, is the one between you and makeup. This relationship is reliable, controllable, and simple because it is based on one, straightforward formula: you + makeup + choice. Now that’s the perfect relationship.

Some of my Good Friends Are Fantastic Make Up Artists,> Kris L Clark >Washington, Jessica P > New York, to name a few. Having Grown up in NY ?? One of the Major Fashion Cities ? I can’t help Being around all of that and very GLAD and PROUD I was & Did . I went from One extreme to another, NY where women are Totally Into make up and Glamour, To NH where MOST women do not wear make up, and thats great ….BUT not fair to shame woman that DO like Glamming it up. So many struggle with whether or not they should wear makeup—that struggle being charged with what others might think, the fear of being judged, and accusations of insecurity. Well, we’re here to deconstruct the #struggle, because the truth of the matter is, the choice is yours, and yours alone.

If you spend 20 minutes on your makeup in the morning, great. Makeup will love you for it. If you skip it entirely, totally fine, too. Makeup will not be offended. In the end, we’re pretty sure that you’ll see why whatever choice you make for yourself is the best choice of all.

1. SHOW THE WORLD EVERY VERSION OF YOU!

Different days bring different energies. Monday mornings, your face may be vibing with more of a J. Lo look—highlighter and some bronzer for a summery-glow. Friday nights may have you feeling more edgy and ready to rock, à la Cara Delevingne. One of makeup’s best qualities is its ability to transform, allowing your look to reflect your mood and show the world every version of YOU.

2. FOR THE SAKE OF CREATION!

It’s easy to fall into a routine that quickly becomes stagnant, making you feel like your weekdays are on repeat. But, going into anything with a plan in place is the key to success, right? To an extent. Sometimes, you just need a little something different, or something new and experimental to get your gears going. And makeup can do that for you!

3. WEARING MAKEUP IS AN ACT OF SELF-CARE.

Sitting down for 15, or even five minutes to apply makeup is a gesture of self-care, love, and personal nourishment. Sometimes, stopping to put on your makeup in the morning is the only YOU time you can get. So, taking a few moments to gloss your lips and precisely fill your brows is 100% necessary to take on the day. When your brows are on point, life is on point.

4. BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE.

This one is pretty self-explanatory. We are drawn to some facial features more than others, and when we are able to highlight those parts, we feel like we are putting our best foot face forward. Into your lashes? Coat them in color to make them pop. Love your cheekbones? Highlight themLiterally. Use makeup to show the world what YOU want it to see—as if we haven’t stressed that enough.

5. SOMEONE MAKEUP SHAMED YOU ABOUT WEARING MAKEUP ... #RUDE.

Not wearing makeup because someone shamed you about wearing makeup is not a good reason to go au natural. With dare to bare hashtags like #NoMakeupMonday and #GirlYouDontNeedMakeup floating around, it’s hard to not feel like you’re going against a good cause. But it goes without saying that if you want it, you WEAR IT! We support you, girl.

1. YOU WEAR IT TO IMPRESS SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF.

It’s about YOU! Remember? Whether you are wearing it or not, the subject matter is between you and makeup only. This relationship is exclusive, and the opinions of third wheels are not welcome. If your friends prefer blush and your man prefers bronzer but you prefer neither, throw it in the corner (gently).

2. YOU AIN’T GOT TIME FOR THAT.

Prioritizing is key. If your makeup routine is getting in the way of other goals and schedules (as in, you’re late to work every morning) you may need to cut down the application time. We know, the truth can hurt.

3. YOU’RE USING IT TO BE SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN WHO YOU ARE.

Knowing who you are sounds easy until you open Instagram and see that every celebrity is into a new trend you can barely pronounce. Like, what is “draping"?

FOMO is real. We get it. But, if you’re only putting lipgloss on because Kylie is doing it, then just don’t. Unless it’s Halloween, and you need to be a vampire. In that case, we recommend Urban Decay Vice Lipstick.

4. YOU’RE RUNNING FROM SOMETHING.

If you wear makeup because you are running from a deeper issue, like skin blemishes or acne, then the easy way out is NOT the best way out. In life, and with cosmetics, running from the problem is not the answer. As much as we want you to feel great, applying makeup to skin that needs to receive some TLC is like slapping a bandaid on without addressing what’s underneath. If this sounds familiar, put the foundation brush down and back away from the mirror. Introduce a full skincare regimen into your daily beauty routine to give it the love it needs, then you can indulge in a little coverage plan of attack

5. YOU FORGET TO TAKE IT OFF AT NIGHT!

This is just not okay on so many levels. Your skin needs to breathe. And, to be cleaned. And, your pillow cases? They enjoy going all natural. If you don’t make it home with enough energy to rid your face of the day’s makeup, then NO MAKEUP for you. It really hurts us to say that, but we have your best interest at heart. Promise!

Remember, it’s your life. As long as you are 100% behind the decision you make, you’ll be able to brag to people about your perfect relationship. If they tell you that such a thing doesn’t exist, send them this article (and show them your winged liner).

You're never too old to become younger , Feeling lucky to be able to add @ernolaszlonyc AHA Resurfacing Sleep Serum to my skincare routine. l live for fall and winter layers but as the days get colder, my skin only gets duller. This is about that time of year that I start to adjust my skin care routines and makeup products to accommodate the dry, frigid air. At times, it seems nearly impossible to feel fresh and hydrated, but there are a few things you can do to revamp your routine and get glowing winter skin. Above, is one of my favorite products to level up your radiance for the season ahead.

HOW TO CONQUER DRY WINTER SKIN

4. Use a hydrating mist

Hydration is obviously crucial in the winter, and the best time to apply your moisturizer is fresh out of the shower when your skin is damp. To be honest, I never get to this step till after my face has already dried off, which is why hydrating mists are life savers. I’ll usually mist my face all over, wait 30 seconds, and then apply my moisturizer. It really seals the deal. Once my makeup is on and set, I’ll finish with another spritz. If you have been tony home ? you will notice Slipper Tubs Are Important in my Life!!! i LOVE ending a Long and stressful Day in one of Our Slipper Tubs at the End of the Day.
